Isabelle Debrosse was born in Miami to Haitian parents who left Haiti in the late 1960's. She realized her love for art at a young age and studied art at the New World School of the Arts in Miami. She then moved to New York where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute. Isabelle continued to live in New York, then several years later, returned to her hometown, Miami.

She currently resides in Atlanta.

Isabelle draws her inspiration from personal experiences and current world events. She has exhibited her artwork in many spaces including La Galerie Artitude (Paris), Amazoldi Gallery (Miami), Diaspora Vibe Gallery (Miami), Centre d’Acivities Sportives et Culturelles (Paris), and several other locations. Isabelle Debrosse has been featured in several publications and has received a proclamation form the City of Miami for her contribution as an artist in Miami.

Erzulie is the Haitian goddess of love with roots going back to West Africa. Here Isabelle Debrosse creates paintings that are infused with sensuality and mysticism.

These abstract expressionistic paintings blend her American education and experience with the ever present pull to her ancestors. Visit this site often as she will be adding new paintings periodically in homage to Erzulie, Haiti's love goddess.
